|| MIA Airboat @ the Gator Park

The lady said to me, "I'm worried about you, lady".  On my way out of the Avis rental center at the MIA airport, I blasted out like ten questions, where is Naples, where is the airboat, how do I get onto the highway ... there is a reason why she worried.  It's crazy driving behavior on the MIA highways and local streets, hardly any act of random kindness while the average tolerance for reflection speed at the traffic light is 0.1 second.

But it was refreshing coming out the airport driveway.  We saw tropical landscape, wide and flat buildings, coconut trees and lots and lots of them.  It was a quiet Memorial day, many businesses were closed, but the airboat tours certainly didn't.  The remembrance of the CSI Miami leading music and scene has this airboat with huge fans at the back cruising through the swamps like a snake.  It was loud, it was light, it went forward and backward and sideways.  At the Gator park, we hardly saw any wild gators/crocodiles, but there were plenty semi-free peacocks and other creatures.

It was a flat start on the Miami trip, after some long time, we eventually got to Homestead but had a terrible meal at the Olive Garden - cheap everything but gigantic portions.
