|| Opera and Solitude

The weekend trips had to stop in the midst of the virus outbreak, and solitude became more than ever when there is no office to go to and back from, when there is no lunch gatherings to laugh and to cry on with colleagues.  The west is like a castaway for me and I said I long to go back to the east, people look so distant even before the social and physical distancing, and this solitude levels the ground for all human beings.

I have enjoyed what the society has provided of us, a rare moment of living less than what it used to, which could be a little bit more for me personally who used to be living with less, the minimalist.  Everyday the MET opera streaming has been heaven in earth, beautiful voices, delicate staging and costumes, raw emotions and connections, and certainly the tragedies, the death, the ending that seems to be too soon after the death.

Art has never been so soothing when too much void has been going on, for a different reason with me, the west and the south but as I have always said, nothing has really left, keep on going for the next, it's really not too hard.
